Description of the service

During endoscopy test a doctor uses a kind of speculum to examine gastrointestinal tract: the esophagus, stomach and duodenum or the colon and rectum. To do this it is necessary to use a device called an endoscope (gastroscope or colonoscope). It is shaped like a thin, flexible wire that is inserted through the mouth or anus. In this way, the doctor evaluates the gastrointestinal mucosa. The test is used to detect gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcers, tumors, and celiac disease, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, etc.
